Ms. Megan Kufahl
Hi families! My name is Megan Kufahl and I’m very excited to begin my second year at Tesfa. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota. I have been teaching 4th grade in Brooklyn Center for the past three years and am looking forward to a new adventure. Working with children is my passion and can’t imagine doing anything else. I seek to develop curious, kind, lifelong learners. When I’m not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband Greg and our two rescue dogs, Nike and Freya. I am also a lover of yoga, reading, travel, and the perfect cappuccino. So, let’s get started!
Ms. Paige Merwin
Hi, my name is Paige Merwin, and I am excited to return to Tesfa for a second year! I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a degree in Elementary Education and minor in music in 2017. Prior to teaching at Tesfa, I spent a year in Taiwan as a Fulbright Scholar teaching English to 4th, 5th, and 6thgrade students, learning Chinese, and discovering the fascinations of a new-to-me culture. I am excited to continue to explore different ideas and cultures in our fifth-grade community this year. I believe everyone deserves a great education, and I want to help all students become the best “them” they can be. Besides teaching, I love playing piano, doing theater, swing dancing, cooking, kayaking, hiking, camping, traveling to new places, and spending time with my family. I can’t wait to see what adventures this year will bring as we learn and grow together!
