Ms. Maren Rodriguez
Hello my name is Maren Rodriguez and I am new to Tesfa this year. I am excited to teach a combined 2nd and 3rd grade class and to be a part of the Tesfa team! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and TESL (Teaching English as a Second language) at the College of Saint Benedict and this is my second year teaching. Recently, I taught at a bilingual, English and Spanish, school in the Dominican Republic and gained experience teaching a multi-age class with my 3rd and 4th graders. I believe everyone deserves to have a great education, no matter where you come from. When I am not teaching I love to travel, cook, and spend time with my family and friends. I want to share my love for celebratig different cultures, travel and curiosity for the world around us with my students. I can’t wait to see what we learn and discover together!
Ms. Andy Beauchamp
My name is Andy Beauchamp, and I am very excited to be joining the Tesfa team this year! I graduated with an Integrated Elementary and Special Education teaching degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth. My favorite teaching experience so far has been student teaching in a 4th grade classroom at an International Baccalaureate school in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I connected so well with the IB curriculum and values, and am excited to apply those same strategies into my Tesfa classroom! Culture and global perspective is something I have come to value in my classroom. I believe in allowing students the opportunity to grow as global citizens in order to make a positive impact on the community. Outside of teaching, I love doing crafts and decorating my house! I also love traveling, and have traveled to 22 countries in my life (with many more on my bucket list). Sparking a passion for learning in students is what allows me to wake up everyday with excitement and a love for teaching!
