Dear Tesfa Family,
As many of you may already know, I transitioned out of my role as Director of Tesfa International School at the end of December as my family being relocated to Singapore for my husband’s job. Although this transition is very difficult for me, I am excited to embark on this journey with my family and learn what it means to have Global Minds with Minnesota Hearts. I have had the privilege to work with truly amazing staff members, scholars and families. The mission of Tesfa lives on every day thanks to this truly talented team.
I am excited to announce that our new leadership team will be Ms. Nicole Nelson-Starks and Ms. Lauren Ryan. Ms. Nicole and Ms. Lauren will be Co-Directors, assuming the leadership positions for the school. Ms. Nicole was serving as Assistant Director this year and Ms. Lauren is a founder, was our Assistant Director last year, and has been teaching first grade this year at Tesfa. Together, we will work to ensure that the transition to new leadership is as seamless as possible and that Tesfa stays true to its mission. Although I am sad to leave this amazing school, I am confident in the abilities of both Ms. Nicole and Ms. Lauren to lead the school and know that all our children will be in good hands.
I will certainly miss working in this community and the opportunity to interact with such amazing scholars each day. I am very proud of the Tesfa and know they will continue to work tirelessly to provide a high quality education for our children. I look forward to watching the success and growth of Tesfa from afar while I am gone. It has been my privilege to be the leader of such a vibrant, high quality and hard working community. My heart will always be with Tesfa.
