Good morning Tesfa Scholars!
I spend a great deal of time contemplating what to write in my message to you each Monday. Some days I talk about topics that relate to conversations I have been having with students in school or about events happening in our Tesfa community of learners. Other days I talk about pieces of our school that make us Global-minded students with Minnesota hearts.
Our goal as teachers is to teach you to…
- Think deeply
- Ask questions
- Take risks
- Care about yourself and others
- Take action locally and globally
- To value humanity and the environment.
It is very important that we find ways to communicate with one another in our school. How do you communicate with others? Are you a writer? Do you use art to express your creativity, joys and frustration? Do you speak more than one language? Do you use social media to express your thoughts and opinions?
Whatever method you use, please remember that you are responsible for your own words and actions. Choose carefully. Respect your classmates and yourself by being an active participant in your learning. Work hard, be a thinker, and make choices that make our school a better place.
