Dear Tolerant Global Citizens,

Today is the International Day of Tolerance. The International Day for Tolerance is a time for people to learn about respecting and recognizing the rights and beliefs of others. It is also a time for reflection. The purpose of this day is to educate people about the need for tolerance in society and to help us understand the negative effects of intolerance. Building tolerance and trust in diverse communities is not done overnight, but takes time and commitment.

Tolerance is one of our PYP Attitudes. Being tolerant means being sensitive about differences and diversity in the world and being responsive to the needs of others. While at Tesfa, scholars will learn skills to help them become caring and knowledgeable citizens who can help create a better and more peaceful world by understanding and respecting all cultures. It is okay to have different perspectives, but we must remain open- minded in order to understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Stay Curious,

Ms. Becky
